Thoughts.

I miss Bev and I know that Bev would feel exactly the same way, with the same sense of missing and absence, If it was me that went. We were a constant presence in one another’s life for 53 years, since 1973, and other than about two years, we lived together for all those years.

As our relationship evolved, first Bev was a friend of Suzanne’s whom I liked right away. Then Bev became a housemate and quickly and perhaps immediately became part of our growing emotionally bonded emotional family, and very quickly a best friend, evolving into an almost brother-sister phase of being very playful with one another. That settled into being loving friends, concerned about and supportive of one another, and then a few years later spontaneous romantic love, which further strengthened the bonds we had built since 1973. I’ve come to think of our wedding date of December 24, 1994 as the date of our actual marriage, when we willingly tied ourselves together for life. We didn’t really realize it then, but we did.
